Update from home.

It’s been a blissful week and a half since I’ve come home to California for the holidays, and I’ve loved every second of it.  Every second of doing… nothing.  I fall into a couch-potato lifestyle when I come home largely from necessity but mostly from habit, because I always associate it with breaks from school.  I’ve gained so much weight being home.  I’m sure my cholesterol level has shot up from the sedimentary lifestyle plus unhealthy eating habits that I’ve been diligently upholding at home.  Ramen and I became reacquainted in my parents’ kitchen… We’ve had a very unhealthy relationship since then.  Also, kalbi.  Just, kalbi (Korean BBQ short ribs, for those who aren’t familiar with the Korean term).  Enough said, I think.

Sometimes I think that I should never live with my parents again, because it’s too easy to fall into the trap of never having to do my own laundry or worry about taking out the trash.  I try to do all these things regularly, but if I don’t do them, then my mom or even my grandma just takes care of it.  Quietly, without complaining to me.  How do I fight that?  Horribly and weakly.

So I’ve finally gotten off my lazy bum and gone to a cafe and done some much needed work.  Let it be known that halfway into winter break, I did work.  Not enough, not a lot, but some.
